PUTRAJAYA, Jan 13 — The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) has opened a probe paper into a sandwich bread factory in Sunway Damansara, Petaling Jaya, for suspected misuse of the halal logo.

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 29 — Halal certification in Malaysia is voluntary, with no law mandating anyone apply for it, said Islamic Development Department (Jakim) director-general Datuk Sirajuddin Suhaimee.
